One of my passions is designing and building furniture. Much of it lives only as sketches and ideas, but this wood print-type dining table – my signature piece – willed itself into existence. Dimensions are 8ft x 4ft, weighing a hefty 300-400 pounds. A welded steel frame sits on solid cast iron legs. Sandwiched between two ‘diamond’ (no green tint) glass panels are approx. 2,000 individual wood type printing blocks of varying sizes. It’s a beast! A set of chairs is designed to go with it but still in sketch phase. Let me know if you need/want/lust a custom piece of furniture for your home or office!
This side / coffee table utilizes sheets of hand blown glass placed flush inside salvaged floor grates. I built a simple frame to hold the grates in place, then covered the surface with clear protective glass. This is yet unfinished, and will be powder-coated a brilliant cream color to compliment the red glass.
